Pallet capacity is only half the question. The trailer type decides how the load goes on and how it's protected, so we match it to your freight.

Tautliners (curtainsiders)

A 22 or 24-pallet tautliner is the workhorse. The curtain sides open for fast forklift loading from either side, and they close to keep weather off the freight. For most palletised stock this is the trailer you want.

Flat-tops

A flat-top suits freight that's craned or strapped on from above or the side, or loads too tall or awkward for curtains. Building materials, steel and machinery often travel this way.

Drop decks

A drop-deck sits lower over the rear axles, so it carries taller freight while staying within height limits. If your load keeps coming up against a height problem, this is usually the fix.

Hire comes with a driver

Our semi-trailer hire is wet hire, meaning the trailer comes with one of our licensed, load-restraint-trained drivers. You're not sorting out who's going to pull the trailer or whether they're across their Chain of Responsibility obligations. We supply both, and the driver stays responsible for restraining the load to rating.

That keeps the job clean for you. No hunting for a suitable driver, no worrying about the trailer being run outside compliance, and no maintenance to think about.

How much can you actually load

The 22 versus 24-pallet question comes up a lot. A 24-pallet trailer takes more standard pallets in a single layer, while a 22-pallet configuration can suit heavier freight where you'd hit a weight limit before you run out of floor. Tell us the pallet type and the weight and we'll tell you which gives you the better result.

If a single trailer isn't enough and the freight and route allow it, we can talk through higher-capacity options for the run as well.

Short jobs, busy seasons or ongoing hire

Semi-trailer hire works across a few situations. A single big consignment that won't fit your own vehicles. A seasonal peak where you need more deck for a few weeks. Or an ongoing arrangement where a hired trailer and driver effectively become part of your fleet without sitting on your balance sheet.

However you use it, the equipment is load-rated, maintained and turned up ready to work.

Why we hire wet, not dry

Some operators offer dry hire, where you take the trailer and supply your own prime mover and driver. We hire wet, which means the trailer always comes with one of our drivers. There's a good reason for it.

With wet hire, the compliance stays with us. Our driver is licensed, trained in load restraint and responsible for restraining your freight to the rating on the trailer. You're not signing up for the Chain of Responsibility exposure that comes with running a trailer you don't normally operate, and you're not chasing maintenance or roadworthiness. You get the capacity without inheriting the obligations.
