Industries We Serve

Different industries move freight in very different ways. A manufacturer's inbound components run on a production clock, a retailer needs stock in before the doors open, and a builder needs materials on site before the crew runs out of work. Road Linx Transport works across all of them, and we tailor how we run to what each industry actually needs.

Here's how we support the sectors we carry freight for most.

Manufacturing

For manufacturers, freight timing is part of production. We run inbound components and materials so a line isn't left waiting, and carry finished goods out on schedule. Heavy, fabricated and oversize product moves on our flat-tops and drop-decks, while palletised stock runs on tautliners, all restrained to rating.

Wholesale and distribution

Wholesalers live on getting stock to their business customers cleanly and on time. We run B2B deliveries direct from your dock to your customer's, with no depot handling in between, and set up scheduled distribution runs so your regular customers are supplied without a fresh booking each time.

Retail

Retail freight is all about the window. Stock has to land before opening, inside a distribution centre slot, or after hours when a store can't take it during trade. We run early morning and after-hours deliveries and tail-lift trucks for shopfronts without a dock, so stock is on the shelf when customers arrive.

Construction and trade

Construction runs on materials arriving before they're needed. We carry building materials, steel, timber and trade supplies to sites across the region, using flat-tops and drop-decks for long and oversize loads and tail-lift trucks for sites with no forklift. When a crew needs something urgently, our hot shot service makes the direct dash.

Importers and Port freight

For importers, we collect cleared freight from the Port of Brisbane and carry it direct to warehouses or customers, helping keep container detention and storage costs down. Because we can move the freight onward as general freight or B2B once it's out of the box, one carrier takes your goods from the wharf to their destination.

Events and project work

Events and one-off projects create sharp, deadline-driven freight. We handle time-bound deliveries to venues and sites, work to tight access and delivery windows, and can put on extra capacity for a build or a peak. When a job has a fixed date that can't move, that's the kind of freight we're built for.

Not sure where your business fits?

These are the sectors we carry freight for most, but the list isn't exhaustive. If your business moves goods anywhere across South East Queensland or Northern NSW, chances are we can help. Call us and tell us what you move, and we'll work out the right way to run it.

Agriculture and regional freight

Beyond the metro industries, a lot of our work serves the agricultural regions we cover. Across the Darling Downs, the Wide Bay and the Northern Rivers, we carry farm inputs, packaging and equipment out and produce and goods back, matching the truck to the load and the season to the run.

Regional freight has its own rhythm, tied to harvests, saleyard days and the energy sector out west. We plan around it rather than treating every run the same, which is what keeps supply dependable in the parts of the region other carriers treat as too far out.

Tailored to how your industry runs

The thread through all of this is that we don't run every job the same way. A manufacturer's schedule, a retailer's delivery window and a builder's site deadline each need a different approach, and we shape the run to suit. Tell us how your business works and we'll build the freight around it.
