Our fleet

Our Fleet

The right truck for the job is half of good freight. Road Linx runs a broad fleet so we can match the vehicle to your load rather than forcing your freight to fit whatever's available. From a one-tonne ute for a quick metro run to a 24-pallet semi-trailer for a full load, we've got the range to cover almost anything a business needs to move.

Just as important, all of it runs load-rated restraint, so whatever the truck, your freight is secured to a certified rating.

Trucks, from one tonne to twelve

Our rigid trucks cover the light and mid-weight end of the work.

Utes and flat-tops up to 12 tonnes

One-tonne utes and flat-tops handle small, quick and urgent jobs around the metro, stepping up through the range to 12-tonne trucks for heavier loads. This is the fleet behind a lot of our taxi truck and hot shot work, where speed and the right size matter more than sheer capacity.

Tail-lift trucks, 3 to 12 tonnes

Our tail-lift trucks carry a powered platform that lowers freight to the ground, so we can deliver to shopfronts, homes and sites with no forklift or dock. They run from three to 12 tonnes, in ute and tautliner bodies, and they're the answer whenever the delivery point can't lift the freight itself.

Semi-trailers, 22 and 24 pallet

For full loads and bigger runs, our semi-trailers carry 22 to 24 pallets and come in the configurations different freight needs.

Tautliners and curtainsiders

Curtain-sided trailers open along the whole side for fast forklift loading and close to keep weather off the freight. On load-rated tautliners the curtains and internal gear form part of the restraint system. For most palletised freight, this is the trailer of choice.

Flat-tops and drop decks

Flat-tops carry freight loaded by crane or forklift from the top or sides, which suits steel, machinery and oversize items. Drop-deck versions sit lower over the rear axles to carry taller loads within legal height. Straight and drop-deck tautliners give the same access with weather protection.

Load-rated across the board

Every trailer in the fleet runs load-rated restraint gear, and our drivers restrain to that rating on every load. It's a deliberate choice. Load-rated equipment keeps your freight stable, keeps everyone in the chain compliant, and speeds up loading because the restraint is engineered rather than improvised.

Hire with a driver

Beyond carrying your freight, we hire trailers out with a driver, so you can add capacity through a busy period or for a one-off job without buying and maintaining the gear yourself. The trailer turns up ready to work, driven by one of our licensed operators, with the compliance and maintenance staying our problem, not yours.

Choosing the right vehicle

With a fleet this broad, picking the right truck is part of the service. It comes down to three things: the size and weight of the load, how it's loaded and unloaded, and the access at each end. Get those right and the job runs smoothly and costs less.

You don't have to know the answer yourself. Tell us what you're moving and the access at both ends, and we'll recommend the vehicle, whether that's a ute for a quick run, a tail-lift truck for a site with no forklift, a tautliner for palletised stock or a flat-top for something oversize.

Frequently asked questions

Answered

Our fleet runs from one-tonne utes and flat-tops through mid-size rigid trucks to 12-tonne tail-lift trucks, plus 22 and 24-pallet semi-trailers. We match the vehicle to your load rather than forcing the freight to fit.
A tail-lift truck has a powered platform that lowers freight to ground level, so it can deliver to shopfronts, homes and sites with no forklift or loading dock. Ours run from three to 12 tonnes.
A tautliner has curtain sides that open for fast side loading and close to protect freight from weather, with the curtains forming part of the restraint on load-rated trailers. A flat-top is an open deck for crane or forklift loading of steel, machinery and oversize items.
Our semi-trailers carry 22 to 24 pallets depending on the trailer and pallet type. Send us your pallet count and weight and we'll confirm which configuration suits.
A drop-deck sits lower over the rear axles than a standard flat-top, so it can carry taller freight while staying within the legal height limit. It's the usual choice for tall loads.
Yes. Every trailer runs load-rated restraint gear, and our drivers restrain to that rating on every load, which keeps freight stable, keeps the chain compliant and speeds up loading.
Yes. We hire trailers out with one of our licensed drivers, so you can add capacity for a job or a busy period without buying the vehicle or carrying the maintenance and compliance.
Tell us the load, the weight and the access at both ends and we'll recommend the right vehicle, whether that's a ute, a tail-lift truck, a tautliner or a flat-top. Matching the truck to the job is what we do.
Tell us the load size and weight, how it's loaded and unloaded, and the access at each end, and we'll recommend the right vehicle. Matching the truck to the job is part of our service, so you don't need to work it out yourself.
Yes. As an NHVR-compliant operator we maintain our vehicles to standard, and our load-rated restraint gear is part of that. With hired trailers, the maintenance and compliance stay our responsibility, not yours.
